Insulating foil for slide bearings series E from specialist for drive technology RENK
The electrical insulation of bearing sizes 22 - 45 of the RENK slide bearings of the E series to prevent shaft currents is achieved by insulating the spherical seatings of the housing that hold the bearing shell. The insulation layer is a heavy-duty plastic foil just 0.5 millimeters thick. The low thickness ensures a barely restricted heat transfer, which is accompanied by only a minimal increase in bearing temperatures, but not a restriction of the insulation performance.
The decades of use of the foil for insulating the RENK plain bearing series E shows that even heavy static and dynamic loads do not lead to restrictions or damage to the insulation layer when installed correctly.
